What kind of difference is there between DSSSLprint
and NEXTPublisher? |
First of all, the platform can be
used for software is different.
DSSSLprint is server type product used mainly on UNIX as a filter program.
NEXTPublisher is PC/client type product mainly on Windows as an application.
The current basic feature is just the same for DSSSLprint and NEXTPublisher
while each user interface is different.

Is it possible to start up by batch from other
application when DSSSLprint or NEXTPublisher is used? |
Primarily DSSSLprint is a program made under
the concept of batch processing, so it is also possible to start up
DSSSLprint by command interface from other applications.
NEXTPublisher is also able to start up by command interface from other applications
but as this is the tool processed through GUI you will have GUI rendering each
time upon start up by batch.

Can NEXTPublisher be automatically operated
in all the process (without command from DESKTOP)? |
Automatic processing would not be available.
It is necessary to execute NEXTPublisher from DESKTOP as it is software
of GUI base.

Can NEXTPublisher generate PostScript(R) file
and PDF?

NEXTPublisher Linux version generates
PostScript or PDF file directly.
However, NEXTPublisher Windows version can not generates PostScript
file and PDF by itself.
NEXTPublisher Windows version is an application software and the formatted
result will be printed out through printer driver.
In order to generate PostScript file you are requested to use printer
driver of PostScript printer to select uOutput to filev.
You are also requested to have Adobe Acrobat ¨Distiller or Adobe Acrobat
PDF Writer.
Adobe Acrobat PDF Writer and PostScript are trademark of Adobe Systems
Incorporated.

Is there any adequate editor to write DSSSL
stylesheets with ease if I do it by myself? Can I request you
to write stylesheets for me?

We would recommend you to use our new
NEXTStylus as a tool to write DSSSL stylesheet with ease which supports
the basic part to create stylesheets. Complex designations are to be
supplemented by text editor or so. Evaluation version can be downloaded
now from our home page. Please try it. Of course, you can also request
us to write the perfect stylesheets for you at the reasonable cost.

How to use NEXTStylus to create stylesheet? |
By referring DTD of your SGML/XML
document you prepared you could set up a style for each tag in
order to which ,however, DTD must be defined correctly. Actually
you can easily create your favorite stylesheets by answering to
each necessary item required on the display after you appoint SGML/XML
document file or DTD.

What is difference between XFor and NEXTPublisher? |
The stylesheet is different. XSL-FO
stylesheet is used for XFor and DSSSL stylesheet is used for NEXTPublisher.
Formatting result depends on each stylesheet.

be used also to XFor as they are?

Yes, they could be used, but it is
imperative that XSL-FO stylesheet is written according to DTD.
